Vikings in York
The Vikings are still in York 2022. I saw two today using a Zebra crossing replete with horned hats, badly shaped woollen tunics, wooden swords and shields.
They gather together on the fields besides the Millennium bridge in their costumes and wooden weapons for a spot of medieval movie sword fighting and those with axes tend to stand at the sides waving their weapons gingerly whilst swigging cheap lager.
I feel that this must be the Viking society of York University perhaps. Is it a cover for some kind of psycho sexual drama for latent Vikings to indulge in a little mild pillaging and titillation? Not very blonde or Adonis like the participants would struggle to turn a head in a crowded room and receive a hurried swipe on a dating site.Listed hobbies – simulated raping and pillaging.
Maybe it’s Morris dancing for young students who will later graduate to perform the demented hanky dance along with all of the other bankers who with too much time and money on their hands take part in participatory “art” .
